Physical Sciences/Engineering Librarian

The College of New Jersey Library is currently seeking candidates to fill a 12-month, tenure-track position.

Responsibilities:
Provides library services to students and faculty, particularly to those in the School of Science and the School of Engineering. Services include subject-specialized and general reference, user education and collection development. Engages in scholarly and service activities expected of tenure-track librarians. Reports to the Dean of the Library.

Qualifications
Required: Master’s degree accredited by the American Library Association. Educational background and/or experience in a relevant science or technical discipline. Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills. Initiative, flexibility, and a strong service orientation.

Preferred: Significant experience using resources in the physical sciences or engineering. Basic knowledge of web page design. Additional graduate degree in an appropriate discipline is highly desirable.

Rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary ranges: Librarian III, $49,124-76,148; Librarian II, $59,712-92,569; with full benefits package including TIAA/CREF.
