Executive Director, Westchester Library System (WLS): WLS seeks applications for the position of Executive Director of this cooperative public library system bordering New York City. WLS consists of 38 independent member public libraries which have established a preeminent standard for cooperation. The 35-plus person WLS staff is responsible for cooperative programs that include technology management, cataloging, interlibrary loan, outreach (community connections), teen and children's services, professional development, and more. The successful candidate should have outstanding leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and strengths in planning, finance, technology, and external affairs. MLS and experience as a public librarian required. WLS is located in a beautiful and diverse county and offers excellent benefits. Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and knowledge.
