Library Assistant IV: Monographs Unit Head

The University of Texas at San Antonio Libraries is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Library Assistant IV: Monographs Unit Head.

Reporting to the Head of Acquisitions, this position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Monographs Unit. The Unit Head supervises, trains and delegates work to Monographs Unit staff, currently consisting of three full-time staff members whose duties include ordering, receiving, and processing firm and approval orders.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. Six years of relevant library experience, including experience working with monographs acquisitions. Three years of college-level education may substitute for three years of experience. Applicant must be familiar with library automated system applications and willing to learn UTSA's automated system, Voyager.

Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines are essential, as are the ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure with interruptions.

Supervisory experience is preferred.

Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.

Salary: $28,392. This is a full-time, Classified, benefits eligible position.
