ACQUISITIONS LIBRARIAN. Missouri State University Libraries. Assistant Professor, tenure-track, 12-mo. position. Minimum salary $42,000, excellent benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES: Works collaboratively with several individuals and groups both within and beyond the Libraries in managing acquisitions and serials functions in the Libraries' Innovative Interfaces library management system; in managing electronic resource licensing and rights; and in collecting and organizing library materials assessment data. Must meet Department of Library Science faculty requirements for librarianship, scholarship, and service. Reports to the Head of Collection Development and Acquisitions. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program. Experience with and knowledge of library materials acquisitions processes; experience with and knowledge of an integrated library management system; effective oral and written communications skills; ability to work in a collaborative manner with a diverse clientele within the Libraries and the University community. Preferred: Experience in acquisitions, serials, or collection development in an academic library. Experience with and knowledge of electronic resource licensing and management. Systems and/or cataloging background. Experience with library related utilities such as OCLC. Experience with general software tools such as Excel or Access.
