Susan Hoang, Reference & Instruction Librarian for Santa Ana College, has been appointed APALA Executive Board Member-at-Large for the 2017-2018 year to complete a vacant term. Under the leadership of incoming President Dora Ho, she will join the other new APALA Executive Board Officers:

Susan Hoang will be taking the place of APALA Executive Board Member-at-Large Alyssa Jocson Porter who will be stepping down from her position from the Executive Board and as Chair of the Communications & Media Committee citing personal matters, effective June 27, 2017, after the close of ALA Annual Conference. She will continue in her role as Chair of the Young Adult Asian Pacific American Awards for Literature Committee and will remain in an advisory role to the Communications& Media Committee during the transition.
