They’ll show you photos of what specific places looked like in the early 1900s. They’ll talk about culture, customs, food and cooking, herbs, temples and more. Other subjects may include the Chinese language and calligraphy, fine arts and performing arts and more. City Guides has over 200 trained volunteers who give walking tours about the history and architecture of neighborhoods all over San Francisco year-round. In addition to our tour, check out all of their City tours: http://www.sfcityguides.org/index.html After the Chinatown walking tour, we’ll head to the Manilatown Heritage Foundation (MFH), which is close by.
