Scholarship Fundraising for Ethnic Students

Another successful fundraising event! This event was a joint effort of both the APALA and REFORMA to support the America Library Association’s Spectrum Scholarship Program. The goal of the scholarship program is to recruit, mentor, and provide leadership and professional development for the ethnic and under-represented students. At the event, light food and refreshments were served, along with the fun and live entertainment. Attendees reunited with old friends and met new friends.  The event was well received, and we reached our goal of raising $1,000.  100% will go to the Spectrum scholarship program. We look forward to our next Northern California social.

A special thanks to all our supporting members and for their donations, especially Maria Kramer and Sandy Wee for organizing the event. It is not too late to contribute to this worthy scholarship.  Please email wee@smcl.org for more information.
