In October 2019, Sheila Garcia accepted a position as Liaison Librarian in Professional Programs at Grand Valley State University. Sheila was previously a Diversity Alliance Resident Librarian at the University of Michigan.
Y.T. Feng, the first Roy E. Larsen Librarian of Harvard College, passed away in early September. Y.T.’s leadership and professional engagement in ALA and beyond were well known, especially as the co-founder of the Asian American Librarians Caucus (AALC) which was the precursor to APALA.
